Marje Agostini had a career in Information Technology. Prior to her retirement from the business world, Marje was a Vice President for Bank One, where she managed Distributed Computing. She started sewing as a teenager when her mom bought a new Singer Touch & Sew sewing machine. Marje attended a class on how to make a shirt waist dress. She did not like the style of the dress, but she did learn how to make clothing, setting sleeves, putting in zippers, hemming, gathering, and so much more. It enabled her to make clothing for her children when they were young.
Marje, first came to Humble Sewing Center in 2008, when they had just moved the store to its current location. At the time, Marje was teaching embroidery software classes and embroidery classes for a couple of dealers in the Houston area. She soon started working at Humble Sewing Center as a teacher of software, embroidery classes, guide classes, business seminars, in addition to working with customers to help them with their sewing needs.
Although Marje now travels frequently you can still see her from time to time at the store. She will continue to return to teach a Business Seminar and embroidery software classes. Marje still works as our webmaster.
